Tom Wesselmann
Tom Wesselmann (*1931, Cincinnatti) was one of the leading figures of American Pop-Art. His provocative and erotic series “Great American Nudes” brought him international recognition. He reduces his painting to the most substantial, using collage technique. Wesselmann drew his inspiration mostly from advertisements and pop culture, as well as from the female nude.
Tom Wesselmann´s works are part of various renowned collections such as those from MoMA, New York or Museum Ludwig, Aachen.
