SEO’s (* 1977, South Korea) paintings can be considered as a fusion of European Culture with an Asian background. She works in abstract forms with rice paper, which is especially manufactured in her own design in South Korea, to then cover it with semi-transparent layers of paint. At times, her work refers to the spirit of German Romanticism as well as to the concept and process of Creolization.
