Katharina Grosse

Katharina Grosse (*1961, Freiburg im Breisgau) paints with compressor-powered spray guns. She does not limit herself to the confined space of a canvas, but includes the space and its objects. Thereby she creates entire environments, which appear as spacial, luminous paintings. Grosse is a professor for painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf.
